Vera Institute of Justice recently released an infograph exploring juvenile diversion models for police and families. The infograph accompanies their recent report, It Takes a Village, which is informed by the learnings of jurisdictions across the county engaged in establishing new ways to divert young people away the juvenile justice system and toward needed services. The report draws upon interviews conducted with system stakeholders, including families, law enforcement, and school officials, and provides information on effective programs.

Next month the NCMHJJ’s Director Karli Keator will present on this topic alongside Vera at the National Council on Crime and Delinquency Conference, highlighting the diversion models explored in the report and infographic. Click here to access the infograph or click here to access the report.
