PA MH/JJ Workgroup Releases Joint Policy StatementThe Mental Health/Juvenile Justice Workgroup of the Pennsylvania MacArthur Models for Change Initiative recently released its Mental Health/Juvenile Justice Joint Policy Statement. The Policy Statement, which has been endorsed by leaders of key state agencies and statewide organizations, lays out key principles to guide and support Pennsylvania counties in developing a comprehensive system that adequately and appropriately addresses the needs of youth with mental health problems in contact with the juvenile justice system. The Workgroup now plans to assist counties in using the Policy Statement to conduct a self assessment, and develop strategies for addressing identified needs. |
