6D. Exercise: Child Welfare Placement

It will be helpful for you to know persons who work in the area of child welfare and have experience with co-occurring disorders. Contact your county or city department of social services, human services, or family services and obtain the name and telephone number of a staff member, such as a case worker, who has experience with youth who have co-occurring disorders and/or the juvenile justice system. This person may serve as a resource for you when trying to find an out-of-home placement for a youth with co-occurring disorders.
