6B. Exercise: Schools and Special Education

It will be helpful to start a file or resource list of persons in your area who have experience with youth with co-occurring disorders. This exercise is intended to help you get started or to add to your existing resource list.

Contact your county or city board of education and central administration office and obtain the name and telephone number of a person with experience in educating youth with special needs. This person may serve as a future resource for you when addressing the educational needs of youth with co-occurring disorders.
