The NCMHJJ is supported by funding from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and the Council of State Governments. Additional support for the Center has come from the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). This public and private support has enabled the NCMHJJ to engage in a wide variety of projects that have helped to promote systems change and improve outcomes for youth.
In addition to our funding partners, the NCMHJJ works collaboratively with a broad range of national organizations to improve services for youth with mental health disorders involved with the juvenile justice system. These partners have included:
Council of Juvenile Correctional Administrators
Judge David L. Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law
